Shipping Regions

We currently ship to Norway, Sweden, and Denmark.

General Conditions

Northern strives to provide accurate product information, pricing, delivery estimates, and lead times on our webshop. However, we reserve the right to correct typographical errors, update product information, and adjust prices periodically. Availability shown on our website may not always reflect real-time stock status. Our website content may also contain technical or typographical errors, which we will correct as soon as we are made aware.

Purchases

Upon receiving your order, an automatic confirmation email will be sent to you. Please review this confirmation to ensure all details are correct. If you notice any discrepancies, contact our customer service at post@northern.no immediately.

Northern reserves the right to cancel orders if products are discontinued or temporarily unavailable due to misleading stock status, production issues, or logistical delays. In such cases, we will contact you with possible solutions.

Prices and Payment

All prices are displayed in your local currency, including VAT. Any applicable customs and delivery charges will be shown at checkout and must be confirmed by you before completing the purchase. We do not charge additional payment card fees, although your bank may have its own regulations.

You can choose to pay by card or invoice. Card payments are processed securely by Klarna, supporting Visa and Mastercard. Klarna also offers invoice and part-payment options. Invoices will be emailed to you and are managed by Klarna AS. Ensure your email address is correct to receive your invoice. Klarna will perform a credit check if you choose to pay by invoice or part-payment.

Delivery Information

We deliver exclusively to customers with residential addresses in Sweden, Denmark, Norway (excluding Svalbard) and Germany. Deliveries will be made either to your nearest pickup point or directly to your home address.

Delivery Lead Time

  • Standard Lead Time: 5-10 business days, provided the item is in stock at the time of ordering.
  • Notification of Changes: If there are any significant changes to your delivery, we will contact you.
  • Made to order: Some items are Made to order. These items have 8-12 weeks delivery time.
  • Risk Management: Northern assumes the risk for damaged or lost goods until they are received by you.

Receipt of Goods

Goods are considered delivered when you, or a delegated receiver over 18 years old, receive and sign for the delivery at the pickup point or at your doorstep for home deliveries.

Package by Mail

  • Pickup Point: Packages sent by mail will be delivered to your nearest pickup point. An SMS notification will be sent to your phone number once your order is ready for pickup.
  • Unclaimed Packages: If you do not pick up your order and fail to respond to the pickup or delivery notice, this does not allow you to cancel the purchase. Unclaimed packages returned to us will incur a fee of 250 kr in addition to the freight charge.

Home Delivery

Northern offers home delivery for certain items, especially those that are large or heavy. This option, along with any additional charges, will be indicated at checkout.

Shortages and Damaged Goods

For claims, we adhere to consumer laws in our operating countries. Report any shortages, wrong products, or damages immediately to post@northern.no, including all relevant details and photographs. Customer Service will evaluate the claim once the completed form and supporting documents are received.

For transport damage on home deliveries, send a copy of the delivery note and a photograph of the damage within 2 days to post@northern.no. Claims cannot be processed after this period.

Regrets and Returns

You have the right to cancel your purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods. Notify us of your cancellation within this period, and return the package within 14 days.

Returned products must be clean, unused, and in their original packaging. If the packaging is damaged or missing, we may deduct an equivalent amount from the refund. Customers are responsible for arranging and covering return costs, including insurance during transit. Northern will refund the appropriate amount based on the returned item’s sale price.

Personal Data

We comply with the General Data Protection Regulation, requiring your consent to process personal information. All provided information is handled confidentially and used to fulfill our commitments to you.

You can opt to receive newsletters and offers related to your interests. This is optional and can be unsubscribed from at any time. Northern will not share your personal data with third parties for marketing without your active consent.

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data stored in our systems.

Technical Approval

Our lamps are CE-marked and should only be used in countries where this standard is accepted.

Force Majeure

Northern is not liable for fulfilling obligations in cases of force majeure, such as labor conflicts, fire, war, mobilization, currency restrictions, riots, transport shortages, or other uncontrollable circumstances. We are exempt from all liability except in complaint cases, where we will credit the defective item's purchase price.

Disputes

This contract is governed by Norwegian jurisdiction and the ordinary courts of law. Legal venue is Oslo.
